Layout[]

The level has 6 sections (not counting the starting section without the boss):

The first one you have to jump on the Cosmic Blocks that are generated by a small ball.

In the second one you have to keep up with the falling blocks or you will fall and die. At the end, you'll be propelled into the sky by a Launch Star.

In the third one you quickly fly to the right, you have to evade the stars in your way.

The fourth one you do almost the same thing as the third, but you fly diagonally.

The fifth one is a series of Quick Time Events, simply press the right buttons before the Para-Bombs reach Mario. Afterwards, it's a shmup-style battle against Nightmare, whose moveset seems to be based on the third phase of Dark Mind from Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.

In the sixth and last section, you have to battle with Toad.

Enemies[]

  • Para-Bomb

Graphics[]

The foreground is from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The background seems to be the sky portion of the Simba's Destiny background from The Lion King. The Cosmic Blocks and the Launch Star seem to be custom, the stars are from ?? (custom as well?). The D-Pad and Button graphics are from the Hot Potato minigame in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Nightmare's graphics are from Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. Toad's graphics are an obvious edit of Samson's sprites from Cho Aniki: Bakuretsu Rantou-Hen with Toad's cap from Super Mario Bros. 2. The spike that appears during the battle with Toad is from ?? (custom?)

Music[]

The custom music used in this level is BGM 30 (7A in demoOnly1): "Slide" from Super Mario 64. The music used when fighting Toad is BGM 3B (9C in demoOnly1): "Irwin on Reflection" from Legend of Mana.
